Who handles your data

Meat Heritage is the controller of the personal data described on this page. For any privacy question, write to info@meatheritage.com.

What data we handle

When you book a meeting with us at a trade fair, we collect what you type into the form: name, company, email address, phone number and, if you fill it in, what you would like to discuss. The phone and email are how we reach you about the meeting; only the name is required.

If you received an invitation from us with a personal link, we also record whether and when that link was opened, and how many times. We do this to know who is worth following up with, and to avoid pestering people who have already replied.

Where your data came from, if you did not give it to us

If we invited you without you having given us your details, we obtained them from public professional sources — typically your professional profile on LinkedIn and the website of the company you work for. These are professional contact details: your name, your company and, where it exists, the address of the profile.

Why, and on what basis

We make no automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you.

Who we share it with

We neither sell nor pass your data to third parties. It stays on our own platform, hosted on Hetzner servers in Finland, inside the European Union. There are no transfers outside the European Economic Area.

For how long

We keep meeting and invitation data until 12 months after the fair ends. If a business relationship begins in the meantime, the contact details then follow the retention period of our commercial records. If you ask us to erase them sooner, we do.

Cookies

These pages use a single cookie, mh-lang, which remembers the language you picked. It is strictly necessary for the page to work; it neither identifies you nor follows you across other sites. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to your data, for its rectification or erasure, for the restriction of processing, for portability, and you may object to our handling it on the basis of legitimate interest — including to stop hearing from us. Just write to info@meatheritage.com.

If you believe we have not handled the matter as we should, you may complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
